Agartala, May 13:
In a significant step towards the overall development of Kalyanpur, the local administration on Tuesday officially handed over the designated site for the construction of a proposed two-storey multiplex complex building to the Rural Development (RD) Department following an on-site inspection.

Officials said the proposed modern multiplex complex is expected to open a new chapter in the civic and infrastructural development of the region. Once completed, the long-awaited project will provide residents with access to multiple administrative, social, and commercial services under one roof, making public services more accessible and convenient for the people of the area.

The inspection of the project site was carried out in the presence of local MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and officials from the concerned departments. During the visit, the team reviewed various aspects related to the proposed construction and discussed measures for the early commencement and smooth execution of the project.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury said that the administration is hopeful of completing the construction work within the next year.

“Development of Kalyanpur remains our top priority. We are committed to building modern infrastructure and ensuring better facilities and services for the people of the area,” he stated.

He further said that the multiplex complex would not merely be another infrastructure project but would serve as a major foundation for Kalyanpur’s future growth and development. According to him, the project is expected to boost economic activities, improve public service delivery, and create new opportunities for the local population.

Officials associated with the project also said the modern facility is being planned keeping in mind the future needs of the growing population in the region. The complex is expected to emerge as an important civic centre once completed.

The inspection programme was attended by Asim Deb Roy, Nitai Bal, Somen Gop, along with several officials from the concerned departments.

Meanwhile, local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that successful implementation of the project would significantly transform the overall landscape and development profile of Kalyanpur in the coming years.
