Agartala: Dec 17: The Tripura Tring Festival will be celebrated on December 22 across the state. On the same day, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has scheduled an examination. In light of this, a delegation from the Tripura Students’ Federation (TSF) submitted a memorandum to the Secretary of the Tripura Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, demanding that the examination be postponed and rescheduled to another day.
The TSF has argued that the examination should not coincide with the Tring Festival, as it is an important cultural event celebrated throughout the state. They believe that holding an exam on such a significant day will create inconvenience for students who will be participating in the festival’s activities. TSF Vice-President Jon Debbarma, after submitting the deputation, emphasized that the examination date should be changed immediately, and a new date should be announced as soon as possible.
This request aims to ensure that students can fully participate in the cultural celebrations without the stress of an exam. The TSF is hopeful that the authorities will consider their demand and make the necessary changes to accommodate both the festival and the students’ academic needs.
