Several residents of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat have reportedly been deprived of the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) after their applications were allegedly rejected without prior notification or an opportunity to correct errors in their applications.
According to affected residents, a number of applications submitted under the housing scheme were rejected directly by the Nagar Panchayat. The applicants allege that they were not contacted by the concerned officials when discrepancies or incomplete information were found in their application forms.
Residents claim that, instead of informing applicants about mistakes and providing them with an opportunity to make necessary corrections, several applications were allegedly cancelled without any notification. As a result, people who were expecting assistance under the housing scheme say they have been left without a clear explanation regarding the rejection of their applications.
