Agartala: Feb 22: Miscreants set fire to the BJP party office in Sutaramura, located within the Chailam Assembly constituency. The incident took place in the early hours, and a fire engine from the Bishramganj Fire Department rushed to the scene. However, before the fire could be controlled, the party office was completely destroyed.
Some locals have speculated that the fire is linked to rising tensions over “nigo” (illegal) trade, particularly in the Chailam constituency. They claim that the fire was a result of growing conflicts between the ruling party and its ally, Tipra Motha, over this issue.
