Agartala, May 14: The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday organized a grand Tiranga Rally in Agartala, joining the nationwide movement to honour the Indian Army and celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, a counter-terrorism operation launched by the Central Government.

The rally, marked by patriotic fervor, was led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, accompanied by cabinet ministers, BJP leaders, and a large number of party workers. Participants marched through the streets of the capital waving the national flag and chanting slogans in support of the armed forces, expressing unity and solidarity with India’s defence personnel.

Addressing the rally, Chief Minister Dr. Saha highlighted the widespread participation in Tiranga Rallies across the country, emphasizing that citizens from all walks of life have come together to support Operation Sindoor. The operation, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is seen as a firm and timely response to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

“I salute the sacrifices and supreme selflessness of our brave martyrs who laid down their lives to protect the honour of Mother India,” Dr. Saha said.

The Chief Minister also noted that such events not only pay tribute to the valour of the Indian Army but also strengthen the nation’s collective resolve against terrorism. The rally underscored Tripura’s deep respect for national security forces and its unwavering commitment to national unity.

The Tiranga Rally in Agartala stood as a proud display of patriotism, solidarity, and support for the armed forces, reflecting the sentiment of a grateful nation towards those who defend its sovereignty and integrity.
