Agartala Oct 06: Tripura Police detained two more accused identified as Diptanu Das and Abhijit Pal on Sunday, in connection with a case registered under specific charges of Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) a group of youth abused on-duty traffic personnel in Netaji Chowmani area of the state capital on October 02, and also hurled racial slurs.

West Tripura SP Kiran Kumar informed about the arrests adding that both are residents of Bordowali area.

“They were arrested from Amtali area and will be produced before the court on Monday for further legal action”, said the SP.

Earlier, police detained another youth in connection with the similar case.
