Agartala, July 12, 2025:
In a significant breakthrough, the NCC Police Station has recovered three stolen motorcycles, three mobile phones, and a missing gold chain as part of an ongoing investigation into a bike theft case registered in May 2025.
The stolen motorcycles were linked to separate incidents reported from the Bordowali, Nandannagar, and Indranagar areas of Agartala. Acting on leads developed during the investigation, police successfully tracked down the stolen vehicles and other valuable items.
According to Officer-in-Charge Parijit Malakar, the recovered motorcycles were formally returned to their rightful owners on Saturday morning following a directive from the court. The owners expressed gratitude to the police for their prompt and effective response.
In connection with the thefts, police have arrested three individuals suspected of being involved in the criminal activities. “The accused are currently being interrogated to determine if a larger network is behind these coordinated thefts,” said OC Malakar, adding that further arrests may follow based on the interrogation findings.
In addition to the motorcycles, police also recovered three mobile phones and a gold chain that had been reported missing. These items have been returned to their respective owners after proper verification.
The successful recovery operation marks a positive development in combating petty crime and theft in the capital. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to pursuing such cases with vigilance and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities or missing property promptly.
The NCC Police Station continues its efforts to uncover the full extent of the criminal network and ensure justice is served for all affected victims.
