Agartala, Nov 1: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Foundation Day celebrations of Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu at the Raj Bhavan in Agartala on Friday evening.

The event, organized to commemorate the formation of these states and union territories, was marked by cultural vibrancy, showcasing the unity and diversity that define India. Distinguished guests, senior officials, cultural performers, and members of various state associations attended the celebration, making the evening a truly inclusive and festive affair.

In his inaugural address, Governor Nallu highlighted the importance of such occasions in strengthening national integration and fostering mutual respect among the people of different regions. He emphasized that India’s rich cultural mosaic is its greatest strength and that every state and union territory contributes uniquely to the nation’s growth, development, and identity.

The program featured captivating cultural performances representing the traditions, dance forms, and music of the participating states and union territories. From classical and folk dances to regional songs and traditional attire, the event reflected the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” — a vision aimed at promoting unity through cultural exchange.

Governor Nallu also commended the efforts of the Raj Bhavan staff and cultural participants for organizing such a colorful and meaningful event. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the collective commitment to uphold harmony, inclusivity, and the shared values that bind the nation together.
