Agartala: June 04: A group reportedly associated with Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) was detained from a rented house near Hapania in Agartala early on Wednesday.
According to police sources, five of them were injured and they had rented a house near Tripura Medical College in Amtali police limit for treatment purpose.
After preliminary interrogation, police said the group, popularly known as Bangladesh Shanti Bahini, went through a clash and five of them were injured in firing in their camp.
The 13 persons including two females had illegally crossed the border almost a week ago to seek treatment in TMC. Based on secret inputs, an operation was launched and they were detained from the rented house, an officer said, adding that further investigation was underway.
The arrested individuals are- Thuithui Moh (23), Angla Mog (35), Rumel Chakma (37), Aoj Chakma alias Shanta (30), Dravid Chakma (24), Ramen Chakma (24), Mik Chakma (28), Nirbhoy Chakma (27), Choice Chakma (21), Bitu Chakma (17), Kimon Chakma (22) and two females- Purna Chakma (24), wife of Nirbhoy Chakma, and Nayanchi Mog.
A police officer said, they all were handed over to MTF for further proceedings.
