The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday organised a protest meeting at Ranirbazar under the Majlishpur Assembly constituency, strongly condemning what it described as ongoing conspiracies by the opposition CPI(M). The event was held under the banner of the 10-Majlishpur Mandal and saw a significant gathering of party workers and supporters.

Addressing the meeting in his home constituency, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury launched a scathing attack on the CPI(M), accusing the Left party of resorting to propaganda, violence, and political conspiracies. In contrast, he said, the BJP follows a politics rooted in development, democracy, and public service.

Chowdhury recalled the tragic 2003 Mandwai massacre, in which 11 people were killed, accusing the then-Left government of orchestrating the incident out of political desperation. He alleged that the massacre was carried out at the behest of former CPI(M) minister Manik Dey, who feared losing the election at that time.

He said, “The Mandwai genocide was a politically motivated conspiracy. CPI(M) ruled through fear, unrest, and violence, particularly in Majlishpur.” The Minister reiterated that since 2018, the constituency has witnessed no political killings or violence under BJP’s rule.

Highlighting the BJP’s core principles, Chowdhury stated, “We are a party of discipline and performance. Developmental works are moving ahead in a peaceful and coordinated manner without the shadow of terror.”

He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, emphasizing inclusive growth and democratic governance. The Minister urged people to remain vigilant against what he called the CPI(M)’s divisive tactics, assuring that BJP would continue working for the welfare and progress of all sections of society.
