Agartala: Mar 09: BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb, speaking at a public meeting today, lauded the unprecedented development in Tripura under the BJP government, asserting that the state had entered a “golden era” of progress since the party came to power. Deb emphasized that the kind of development seen today was unimaginable during the communist rule, with BJP leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the way.

One of the key highlights of the BJP government’s success, Deb claimed, is the significant increase in housing for the people. While the previous government managed to provide 48,000 houses, the current government has surpassed this figure, delivering around 4,70,000 houses to the citizens. Furthermore, the state’s national road network has seen substantial improvement, with projects worth Rs 22,000 crore transforming what were once difficult roads into accessible and efficient routes.

Deb also pointed out the positive changes in the agricultural sector, noting that the per capita income of farmers has risen from Rs 6,000 to Rs 13,000, reflecting the positive economic impact of BJP policies. He underscored the improvement in rail connectivity, road development, and the allocation of Rs 27,000 crore under Chief Minister Manik Saha’s leadership, which has greatly contributed to the state’s growth.

Referring to the state’s tribal community, Deb remarked that the Communist Party had exploited the tribals in the past, but after the BJP took over, tribal protests have significantly decreased. Many tribal extremists have peacefully surrendered, benefiting from the various welfare schemes introduced by the BJP government. He highlighted ongoing tribal development projects and reaffirmed that the BJP is dedicated to improving the standard of living for tribal people across the state.

In conclusion, Biplab Deb declared that the current government represents true progress for Tripura, contrasting sharply with the disappointment under previous regimes.
