Bengaluru: Feb 23: BJP state president and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra emphasized the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann-ki-Baat” program, describing it as meaningful and special. He viewed the program at the Jayanagar residence of the party’s Bangalore South district president and MLA C. K. Ramamurthy. During a media briefing, Vijayendra praised the Prime Minister for discussing a range of topics, including artificial intelligence, space technology, successful women in celebration of Women’s Day, wildlife conservation, and the achievements of young athletes. He also encouraged students to face their upcoming exams without pressure.

During the same event, Vijayendra addressed concerns about an attack on a bus conductor at the Belagavi border and the subsequent suspension of bus services. He condemned any conspiracies against the state, stating that it is unacceptable to speak against Kannada while benefiting from the resources of the region. He called on Kannadigas to raise their voices against such actions and demanded a government crackdown on those involved in such conspiracies.

Vijayendra also commented on the state of law and order in Karnataka, particularly in relation to the murder of a Congress MLA’s supporter. He criticized the state government’s handling of the situation, attributing the incident to a deterioration of law and order. Vijayendra mentioned plans for a “Mysore Chalo” event in response to the Udayagiri incident, where a police station was attacked. He accused the Congress government of protecting those responsible for the unrest and highlighted the increasing incidents of robberies and murders in Bangalore. He called on the state government to take responsibility for maintaining law and order and urged them to address these issues effectively.
