The Tripura Government has assigned the additional charge of Director General of Police (DGP) to Additional Director General of Police G.S. Rao following the demise of DGP Anurag Dhankar.
According to an official order, G.S. Rao will discharge the responsibilities of the Director General of Police until further arrangements are made. A senior IPS officer, Rao has held several important positions in the Tripura Police and is expected to ensure the smooth functioning of the state’s police administration during the interim period.
