Agartala, November 9:

Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu graced the celebration of Uttarakhand Foundation Day held at Raj Bhavan, Agartala, on Saturday morning. The event was marked by patriotic fervour, cultural pride, and a spirit of national unity, highlighting the deep bonds between the people of Tripura and Uttarakhand.

Governor Nallu extended his heartfelt greetings to the residents of Uttarakhand and the Uttarakhand-origin community living in Tripura on the occasion. He recalled the state’s remarkable journey since its formation on November 9, 2000, and lauded its achievements in education, tourism, environmental preservation, and women empowerment.

In his address, the Governor said that Uttarakhand, known as Devbhumi (the Land of Gods), embodies India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. He emphasized that the state continues to inspire the entire nation through its devotion to nature, tradition, and progress. “Uttarakhand’s spirit of resilience and commitment to development reflect the strength and unity of India’s federal structure,” he stated.

The celebration at Raj Bhavan featured a colourful cultural program showcasing traditional songs and dances of Uttarakhand, performed by members of the local community. The performances reflected the region’s vibrant folk culture and its deep connection with the Himalayas.

Governor Nallu appreciated the organisers for arranging such a meaningful event that fosters inter-state harmony and cultural exchange. He said that occasions like these strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, a vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote national integration through cultural connectivity.

The event concluded with a message of unity and harmony, reaffirming the commitment to uphold the values of inclusiveness and cultural diversity that define the essence of India.
