Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu formally inaugurated the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Shri Shri Raksha Kali Mata Mandir at Surjyamaninagar on Wednesday evening, marking a historic milestone for one of the region’s most revered spiritual institutions. Devotees, local residents, and dignitaries gathered in large numbers to witness the auspicious ceremony, which honoured 50 years of the temple’s cultural, religious, and social legacy.

Upon his arrival, the Governor was warmly welcomed by members of the temple committee, priests, and community leaders. The inauguration began with traditional rituals, including lighting of the ceremonial lamp and chanting of sacred mantras. The temple premises, beautifully decorated with vibrant lights, flowers, and cultural motifs, reflected the deep devotion of the community as it embarked on the week-long Golden Jubilee festivities.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Reddy highlighted the temple’s significant role in fostering spiritual harmony and social unity over the past five decades. He praised the temple authorities and local residents for preserving rich cultural traditions and promoting community welfare through various initiatives. The Governor emphasized that such institutions serve as pillars of values, discipline, and devotion, contributing positively to the fabric of society.

The Governor also lauded the temple for its continued involvement in charitable activities, including community feasts, health camps, and support for underprivileged families. He expressed hope that the Golden Jubilee celebration would inspire renewed commitment toward service, faith, and collective progress.

Following the formal inauguration, devotional music, cultural performances, and special puja rituals were held, adding vibrancy to the evening. The festival is expected to feature a series of religious events, cultural programmes, and community outreach activities in the coming days.

The event concluded with blessings from the priests and warm interactions between the Governor and the devotees, marking a memorable start to the temple’s 50-year celebration.
