Agartala, May 12: An important meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samity was held at Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital on Tuesday under the chairmanship of MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, where key issues related to healthcare infrastructure, patient services and future development plans of the hospital were discussed in detail.

The meeting focused on strengthening medical facilities, improving patient care systems and enhancing the overall efficiency of healthcare services at the state’s premier referral hospital. Senior officials, doctors and healthcare personnel participated in the discussions and exchanged valuable suggestions for the further development of the institution.

Addressing the meeting, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar said the state government has been continuously working to ensure timely, accessible and quality healthcare services for the people of Tripura. She highlighted that significant progress has been achieved in the healthcare sector over the past few years through sustained efforts and better coordination among various departments.

During the discussions, emphasis was laid on improving hospital infrastructure, ensuring better availability of medicines and diagnostic services, enhancing cleanliness and patient convenience, and strengthening emergency and critical care services. The members also discussed ways to improve coordination among different departments for efficient healthcare delivery.

The meeting noted that GBP Hospital has achieved several milestones in recent years, including modernization of medical infrastructure, expansion of healthcare facilities, introduction of advanced medical equipment and improvement in patient care mechanisms. These developments, participants observed, have strengthened public confidence in the healthcare system.

Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, members of the Rogi Kalyan Samity, senior doctors and healthcare workers attended the meeting. They shared views on future plans aimed at further improving healthcare services and ensuring better treatment facilities for patients from across the state.

Mina Rani Sarkar expressed gratitude to all doctors, healthcare workers and members of the hospital administration for their dedication and commitment towards serving the people. She reiterated that the government remains committed to building a stronger and more efficient healthcare system for the welfare of every citizen in Tripura.

Meanwhile, AGMC and GBP Hospital has witnessed remarkable progress in recent years under the leadership of Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with the continuous efforts of doctors, nurses and healthcare staff.
