Agartala: July 17: In a focused effort to enhance service delivery and ensure timely benefits under various government schemes, Minister for Animal Resources Development (ARD), Fisheries, and Scheduled Caste (SC) Welfare Departments chaired a high-level district review meeting on Thursday at the PRTI Conference Hall in Udaipur, Gomati District.

The meeting brought together key officials from the ARD, Fisheries, and SC Welfare departments of Gomati district to evaluate the status and effectiveness of schemes under implementation for the financial year 2025–26. The primary objective was to assess whether registered beneficiaries are receiving the benefits within the expected time frame.

Addressing the media, Minister Sudhangshu Das stated, “This comprehensive review reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the efficient delivery of essential services. The success of any welfare initiative depends on its reach and impact. Real development is achieved when the last mile is served with both efficiency and empathy.”

He added that the departments have reaffirmed their dedication to ensuring every eligible beneficiary receives their due assistance without delay.

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the progress of ongoing schemes and challenges faced during implementation. Officials shared updates and explored strategies to overcome bottlenecks. Emphasis was placed on proactive governance, inter-departmental coordination, and timely execution to improve outcomes at the grassroots level.

The Minister praised the district officers for their initiative and urged continued diligence in reaching underserved communities. “The growth of Gomati district is a shared mission, and I’m glad to see our teams working with dedication to uphold good governance practices,” he said.

The session concluded with actionable directives aimed at strengthening implementation frameworks and ensuring that government resources effectively reach those in need.
