Agartala: Nov 29: On Thursday, the Tripura Council of Ministers approved a major recruitment initiative, as announced by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday. Speaking to reporters at the civil secretariat, Chowdhury, the cabinet spokesman, shared that the cabinet had given the green light for the creation and filling of 1,566 teaching positions under the Education Department. This includes 467 Undergraduate and 467 Graduate teacher roles to address the ongoing shortage of teachers in various schools across the state. The Teachers Recruitment Board of Tripura will oversee this recruitment process.
Additionally, the cabinet approved the recruitment of 198 Junior Engineers (Civil) under the Rural Development Department. The positions, which will be filled through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), comprise 105 degree-holders and 93 diploma-holders. The cabinet also sanctioned the recruitment of 112 Special Educators for Vidyajyoti Schools on a fixed-pay basis to enhance the quality of education for children with special needs.
Furthermore, the council authorized the creation of 151 Warder posts under the Home (Jail) Department, with 137 positions designated for males and 14 for females. This recruitment is part of the state's ongoing efforts to strengthen public services and address staffing shortages across various sectors. This recruitment drive is expected to improve the functioning of educational institutions, rural development projects, special education programs, and correctional facilities in Tripura.
