New Delhi, July 30: Union Minister and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, Jagat Prakash Nadda, launched a sharp attack on the Opposition during the debate on Operation Sindoor, asserting that India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown “decisive strength” against terrorism.

Nadda said Operation Sindoor, executed just 13 days after the Pahalgam massacre, destroyed nine terrorist camps in Bahawalpur, Sialkot and Muzaffarabad in only 22 minutes, with zero civilian casualties. He added that the masterminds behind the Pahalgam attack were eliminated through Operations Mahadev and Sindoor, while Lashkar‑e‑Taiba, JeM and Hizbul Mujahideen hubs were wiped out.

Contrasting the current approach with Congress‑led governments from 2004–2014, Nadda said: “Earlier, India answered bombs with biryani. Now, we reply with precision strikes.” He cited figures claiming an 85% drop in terror incidents since 2015, a 70% fall in civilian deaths and an end to stone-pelting and shutdowns in Kashmir.

Recalling the Uri and Pulwama attacks, he said the Modi government responded with surgical and Balakot air strikes, while Sindoor showcased India’s homegrown defence systems like BrahMos and Pinaka. “This is full‑moon India — decisive and transparent,” he said.

He accused Congress of appeasement politics, trade concessions to Pakistan and a weak response to terror, even after 26/11. “Sweets were piled while bullets streamed,” he remarked.

Nadda said global leaders backed India after Pahalgam and praised its military self-reliance. He also announced the Modi government’s decision to suspend concessions under the Indus Water Treaty.

Calling on MPs to embrace the “Sindoor Spirit,” Nadda concluded, “The nation is bigger than any party. Let us stand united for a stronger Bharat.”
