Agartala, Oct 15: In a shocking incident, a shopkeeper was stabbed with a sharp weapon inside his mobile phone shop by a customer at Melarmath in Agartala on Tuesday evening.
The businessman, Shankar Saha, was critically injured in the attack and admitted to IGM Hospital.
Meanwhile, locals and other shopkeepers manhandled the accused customer.
Police personnel, led by Sub-Inspector Ranjit Das, rushed to the spot, rescued both individuals and took them to IGM Hospital.
According to police, the attack stemmed from an alleged argument over the price of a product between the customer and the shop owner.
Both the injured businessman and the accused are in critical condition, the police official added.
