Agartala: April 27: The tragic and mysterious death of Dipanwita Sarkar Pal, a housewife from Shantinagar, has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising serious questions about whether her death was a suicide or a planned murder. The incident occurred on Saturday evening near the Teliamura police station, where Dipanwita reportedly died from severe burn injuries under suspicious circumstances.

The situation took a dramatic turn when Dipanwita’s mother, visibly shaken, stood outside the police station and made serious allegations. She claimed that her daughter was deliberately killed by her in-laws—specifically naming Dipanwita’s sister-in-law and father-in-law as the primary culprits. She further accused Dipanwita’s husband, Tanmoy, of having an extramarital affair and alleged that the family had plotted the murder to eliminate Dipanwita from their lives.

According to her mother, Dipanwita had made a distressing phone call just 15–20 minutes before the incident, during which she expressed fear for her life. In the call, she reportedly said that her husband and father-in-law were conspiring to burn her alive, a chilling statement that now appears tragically prophetic.

The police have initiated a full-scale investigation, treating the case with the gravity it demands. The allegations made by the family have added a complex layer to the case, pushing authorities to consider all possible motives and suspects. Forensic analysis and statements from witnesses and family members will be crucial in determining the truth behind Dipanwita’s death.

As the investigation unfolds, the community remains tense, demanding justice and clarity. The case has sparked widespread anger, with citizens calling for a thorough and transparent inquiry into what could potentially be a deeply disturbing case of domestic violence and murder.
