Agartala, Sep 13 — Tripura Governor Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu graced the 20th Convocation of ICFAI University at Kamalghat on Saturday afternoon, marking an important milestone for the institution and its graduating students.

Addressing the convocation, Governor Nallu congratulated the graduating students, their families, and faculty members. He emphasised that convocation ceremonies are not merely formal events but significant turning points in the lives of students as they step into the professional world with new responsibilities. He urged the graduates to apply their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society and to uphold ethical values in their careers.

The Governor highlighted the growing role of universities in shaping future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs in line with the vision of a self-reliant India. He underlined that education should not be confined to academic achievements alone but must focus on holistic development, including character-building, critical thinking, and social responsibility.

Commending ICFAI University for its contributions to higher education in Tripura, Governor Nallu noted the institution’s steady progress in providing quality education, fostering research, and promoting industry-academia linkages. He said that such initiatives are vital to prepare students for global challenges and opportunities.

The ceremony witnessed the awarding of degrees, diplomas, and gold medals to meritorious students across various disciplines. Faculty members, dignitaries, parents, and students attended the event in large numbers, adding to the celebratory spirit.

In his concluding remarks, the Governor called upon the students to be lifelong learners, adapt to rapid technological advancements, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building. He also encouraged them to remain connected with their alma mater and serve as ambassadors of the university’s values and vision.
