AGARTALA, SEPTEMBER 8: Tripura-based technology startup Fueler has crossed 1,40,000 registered members, marking a major growth milestone for the company and highlighting the emergence of technology-led startups from the northeastern state.
Founded by Agartala-based entrepreneur Riten Debnath, Fueler is a professional portfolio platform that enables students, freelancers and working professionals to showcase their skills through actual work rather than relying solely on conventional resumes.
The platform allows users to document projects, internships, campaigns, freelance assignments, case studies and personal initiatives in a structured portfolio. The company said the model is aimed at helping talent demonstrate practical skills and improve their visibility among potential employers and organisations.
Fueler has built a community comprising students, creators, freelancers, designers, marketers and early-career professionals. By providing a platform to showcase completed work, the startup seeks to bridge the gap between skills and employment opportunities.
The company has also established collaborations with creators, agencies and startups across India. These partnerships are intended to help organisations identify skilled talent while providing Fueler members with access to projects, professional opportunities and practical work experience.
Fueler has worked with organisations including GrowthX, Growth School, LEAP, Scaler, Flexiple, Buzzlab, Inagiffy, Owled, Topmate and FinFloww, among others.
The startup has also collaborated with creators such as Ansh Mehra, Vaibhav Sisinty, Sindu Biswal and Ishan Sharma as part of its efforts to expand its professional and creator ecosystem.
According to the company, members of its community are now working with organisations such as Microsoft, PayPal, GitLab, YourStory, Scaler, Cautio, Ugaoo, HackerRank and AppsForBharat.
Debnath said the platform’s growth reflects a changing approach to career building, with students and professionals increasingly seeking to demonstrate their capabilities through tangible work and achievements.
He also highlighted the geographical significance of Fueler’s growth, noting that the startup was built from Tripura rather than one of India’s traditional technology hubs.
“Talent is everywhere. Opportunity, however, is often unevenly distributed,” Debnath said.
The 1.4 lakh-member milestone, he added, demonstrates the growing acceptance of a career model centred on proof of work and practical skills.
Fueler’s growth also underscores the potential of India’s northeastern states to develop technology startups and professional communities capable of reaching a national audience.
