Agartala: Feb 19: The Pradesh Congress and Seva Dal are gearing up for a significant event in Udaipur on Thursday – the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution” program. This initiative is part of a nationwide campaign triggered by recent objectionable comments made by the Union Home Minister in Parliament regarding Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Lalji Desai, the All India Seva Dal’s Chief Organizer, arrived in the state on Wednesday and addressed a press conference, expressing concerns over the central government’s handling of various issues. Desai criticized the government, claiming that the country is being looted by thieves, and pointed fingers at their handling of the ongoing crisis in Manipur.

Desai also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of running Tripura with “goon squads” and engaging in widespread “goondaism” across the nation. He emphasized that this intimidation is a national issue, with the media being unable to report freely.

Regarding unemployment in Tripura, Desai held the state government responsible, alleging that they are suppressing opposition voices and stifling dissent. He claimed that the BJP is using violent tactics to maintain control in Tripura, silencing even independent media outlets.

The “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution” campaign aims to honor Ambedkar’s legacy and the Constitution. Desai emphasized that Congress will continue its movement to fight against these issues and uphold the interests of the people. This campaign is part of a broader movement, with the Congress party launching a 13-month campaign titled ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ to intensify its attack on the BJP .
