Agartala: Feb 19: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, met the Hon’ble Union Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, at his residence in New Delhi for an important discussion on the development of the state’s educational infrastructure. The meeting focused on several key initiatives aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and institutions in Tripura.

One of the major topics of discussion was the development of Vidya Jyoti Schools, which are part of an initiative to improve the quality of primary and secondary education in the region. The Chief Minister and the Union Minister explored ways to expand and strengthen these schools to ensure they offer a more robust and comprehensive education to students across Tripura. The goal is to provide a high standard of education from an early stage, laying a solid foundation for future academic success.

Additionally, the two leaders deliberated on the proposal to upgrade the Women’s College in Tripura into a Women’s University. This move aims to provide more specialized and higher educational opportunities for women in the state, encouraging their participation in advanced studies and professional fields. Similarly, discussions were held regarding the elevation of the Tripura Institute of Technology to a Technical University, a step intended to foster innovation and research in technical education and boost the employability of graduates.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of these developments in shaping the future of education in Tripura and supporting the broader vision of national educational growth. The meeting underscored the collaborative efforts between the state and central governments to uplift educational standards and create new opportunities for students in the region.
