Stressing that quality education is the only sustainable path toward building a corruption-free society, Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday highlighted the need to integrate learning, lifestyle, and action for achieving true success in life. He was addressing the silver jubilee celebration of Synod Foundation School at Lefunga, marking 25 years of the institution’s contribution to education and social development.

Addressing students, teachers, parents, and guests, Nath said the 25-year milestone was not just a celebration of time but a proud chapter of dedication, discipline, and holistic education. He described the silver jubilee as a symbol of perseverance, strong values, and visionary leadership. The minister paid tribute to the founders and visionaries who laid the foundation of an institution that believes education should go beyond textbooks and examinations to include character building, empathy, morality, and social responsibility.

Lauding the role of teachers, Nath called them the true architects of the school’s success. “Teachers are not merely instructors; they are guardians, mentors, and role models who shape the future of society,” he said, acknowledging their commitment and sacrifices over the years.

The minister noted that Synod Foundation School, over the past 25 years, has not only imparted academic knowledge but also promoted unity, inclusivity, discipline, and social harmony, thereby enriching Tripura’s diverse cultural fabric. Speaking directly to students, he urged them to dream big and see themselves as future scientists, doctors, artists, athletes, innovators, and leaders. He emphasized that success should not be measured by marks alone, but by the balance between learning, living, and meaningful action.

Using a powerful metaphor, Nath said life is like a notebook where the first and last pages are written by God, while the blank pages in between must be filled with love, unity, honesty, and purposeful work. Encouraging students to face challenges boldly, he urged them never to fear failure and always believe in their inner strength. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he reminded them, “All power is within you. You can do anything you want.”

Highlighting the importance of co-curricular activities, Nath said sports and cultural pursuits teach teamwork, discipline, leadership, humility in victory, and courage in defeat. He stressed that a sharp mind and a healthy body together build a strong future.

Concluding his address, the minister urged students to respect teachers, support peers, work honestly, and remain committed to ethical values. “Your future is not written by fate, but by your hard work,” he said, reaffirming that quality education remains the cornerstone of a just, progressive, and corruption-free society.
