Bengaluru: The BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest at Freedom Park on Saturday, condemning the alleged misconduct of Youth Congress members during the recent AI Summit held in the city.

Addressing the gathering, BJP Yuva Morcha State President and MLA Dheeraj Muniraj criticized the protest staged by Congress workers at the international event. He alleged that their actions reflected “poor culture” and brought disrepute to the nation in the presence of foreign delegates. Calling the behavior condemnable, he demanded that the young Congressmen issue an unconditional apology for what he termed an insult to the country on a global platform.

Bangalore South District President and MLA C.K. Ramamurthy stated that representatives from nearly 30 to 35 countries had participated in the AI Summit. He alleged that certain Youth Congress members staged a half-clad protest, which he described as disrespectful and damaging to India’s image. He further remarked that India is witnessing significant innovation and technological growth, and such incidents undermine the country’s progress.

Leaders also objected to slogans allegedly raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the protest. They termed the act undesirable and said the public had strongly condemned the conduct. BJP Yuva Morcha leaders warned that they would also lay siege to the KPCC office to register their protest.

Bangalore North District President S. Harish criticized the Congress party for naming schemes after leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi, while asserting that Prime Minister Modi has not named projects after himself.

Several party leaders and workers, including Saptagiri Gowda and Umesh Shetty, were present at the protest.
