Agartala: Jan 23: The central government has recently relaxed the terms and conditions governing the export of agarwood and agar oil, a move that has been warmly welcomed by the state government of Tripura. The Chief Minister of Tripura expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Piyush Goyal for this significant development, which is expected to greatly benefit the state’s economy.

In a message shared on social media today, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of this decision, stating, “The central government has eased the terms and conditions for the export of agarwood and agar oil to pave the way for a developed and prosperous Tripura.” He further highlighted that this move would not only boost the state’s economy but also position Tripura as a key player in the global agarwood and agar oil markets. Agarwood is a highly valued aromatic resin, and its oil is used in perfumes, incense, and traditional medicines, making it a highly sought-after product in international markets.

The Chief Minister also expressed optimism about the positive impact of this decision, noting that it represents a “revolutionary step” for the state’s growth and development. He added, “This will help Tripura move towards a rapidly developing India.” The relaxed export regulations are expected to enhance the state’s agricultural and manufacturing sectors, particularly for local farmers and businesses involved in the production of agarwood and agar oil.

This move aligns with the broader vision of making Tripura a prosperous state, fostering economic growth, and creating new opportunities for local communities. With the central government’s support, Tripura is poised to benefit from increased exports, further integration into the global trade network, and enhanced prosperity in the years to come.
