Agartala: Oct 18: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha made a compelling appeal for unity and development during his visit to Bihar, where he addressed a nomination rally in support of BJP candidates Nand Kishore Ram (Ramnagar) and Ram Singh (Bagaha) ahead of the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.

Dr. Saha reached Ramnagar, West Champaran, on Saturday morning after meeting Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah in Patna. Addressing a large gathering, he urged voters to strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision by electing BJP candidates with a decisive mandate. He praised the development works carried out under the current leadership and expressed confidence in the party’s victory, citing the massive public turnout as a reflection of growing support.

Acknowledging veteran MLA Bhagirathi Devi’s contributions, Dr. Saha said her leadership remains an inspiration for the people of Ramnagar. Referring to the two-phase Bihar elections scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results on November 14, he asserted, “With Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, we already know what November 14 will bring.”

Highlighting Champaran’s historic significance as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi’s first Satyagraha in 1917, Dr. Saha noted the region’s enduring role in India’s political and cultural fabric. Sharing his personal bond with Bihar, he said, “I studied at Patna University’s Dental Medical College—Bihar feels like home to me. This land is the soul of India.”

Dr. Saha also showcased Tripura’s rapid transformation under BJP governance through the HIRA model—Highways, Internet, Railways, and Airways—calling it a model of balanced development.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the BJP’s guiding philosophy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas’, urging the people of Bihar to unite and ensure a resounding victory for the party.
