Tripura’s Tourism Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, paid a cordial visit to prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in New Delhi on Saturday, extending his warm Diwali greetings and strengthening ties within the party’s national leadership.

During the visit, Minister Chowdhury met with Sambit Patra, Member of Parliament from Puri Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha and the BJP’s Coordinator for the North-Eastern region. The meeting was marked by warmth and mutual respect, as Chowdhury conveyed his heartfelt wishes for Diwali and Kali Puja. He expressed hope that the divine blessings of Goddess Kali and the sacred light of Diwali would bring happiness, prosperity, and strength to Patra and his family.

Reflecting the festive spirit of harmony and goodwill, the Tripura Minister also met BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde later in the day. The two leaders exchanged Diwali greetings and shared thoughts on the festival’s deeper message of unity, renewal, and collective progress.

Both meetings highlighted the importance of cultural festivals like Diwali in fostering bonds beyond political affiliations, serving as reminders of shared traditions and values that bind the nation together. Minister Chowdhury emphasized that Diwali, celebrated across India with devotion and enthusiasm, embodies the victory of light over darkness and good over evil—an inspiration for all to work towards collective well-being.

Through these interactions, Minister Chowdhury not only reinforced his personal rapport with senior BJP leaders but also showcased Tripura’s cultural spirit of warmth and inclusiveness. The meetings reflected the broader essence of Diwali—spreading joy, strengthening unity, and renewing the spirit of service and cooperation within the party and across regions.
