Agartala: Feb 24: On Monday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) organized a program focused on financial literacy and women's empowerment at Hotel Polo Towers in the capital. The event was attended by Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and other dignitaries.
Governor Nallu inaugurated the day's program and later emphasized the importance of financial literacy for women during his address. He noted that in the past, banks required guarantees before granting loans. Over time, the process of providing and accepting loans has become simpler. Currently, loans are also offered through various government schemes and self-help groups.
Governor Nallu highlighted the progress made in increasing financial accessibility and encouraged further efforts to empower women through financial education.
